Capital City LLEN

The Capital City Local Learning and Employment Network has been serving the City of Melbourne for over two decades.

Our Mission

To support all secondary students within our geographical boundaries through developing partnerships which increase the number and range of school-employer engagement pathways, from work placements to industry events.

Our Values

We pride ourselves on our strong rapport with our local schools at both staff and student levels, as well as our longstanding relationships with major City of Melbourne employers across hospitality, healthcare, creative industries, and many more sectors. CEO

Louise Smith

Our CEO Louise brings with her extensive experience gained in management roles across various sectors, including working for Mission Australia and the Victorian Public Service. Louise is passionate about helping the young people of Melbourne.

Workplace Learning Coordinator

Wendy Dalkiran

Wendy has worked within the employment and education space coordinating work placement opportunities and faciliating employment opportunities for both job seekers and newly arrived migrants. Her work at the LLEN focuses on providing Structured Workplace Learning placements that suit both students and employers.

VET Cluster Coordinator

Francesca Pisano

Francesca has extensive teaching and leadership experience in senior secondary education across all school sectors and specialist settings, including in careers education. In her role as VET Cluster Coordinator, she is working with schools within the new City LLEN Cluster to support collaboration and partnerships in order to facilitate high-quality shared provision of VET Delivered to School Students.
